Francesco Sottile

Currently, I am an experienced consultant specialized in providing advice and support to a diverse range of clients, including large companies, research organizations, SMEs, and associations. My expertise lies in assisting them with the management and financing of their R&D projects, with a particular focus on identifying funding opportunities primarily at the EU level. The expertise in the EU funding landscape began when I was Business Development Manager & Project Manager at LEITAT Technological center where I am directly involved in identifying funding opportunities within different European funding programs and I have been leading the different stages of the project development starting from the initial conceptual phase, proposal writing, and the delineation of the alliances and collaborations with top research centers, universities, and business sector. Thanks to my PhD training at Centre for Genomic Regulation in Barcelona and together with my previous research experiences in London at UCL Institute of Child Health and at Bologna University, I gained sound knowledge in cell / molecular biology and biochemistry. Additionally, I had the possibility to use cutting edge technologies including high-resolution microscopy (STORM, STED, GSD etc.), flow cytometry (analysis and sorting) and genome editing (CRISPR/Cas9).
Across the last years, I had numerous opportunities in the academic research community that allowed me to interact with top quality scientist and to expand my vision about scientific research in life science and different filed as well.
Finally, I had the possibility to attend several international meetings to present the results of my research experiences, which have been ultimately published in different in scientific journals.
