I hold a graduate in Veterinary Medicine and a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I have 12 years of experience as a post-doctoral researcher in the field of Molecular Biology, particularly in the field of Signalling, Chromosome stability and DNA repair. At the moment I work as a Senior Research Associate for the MRC Protein Phosphorylation and Ubiquitylation School of Life Sciences, University of Dundee. I am currently funded by the Loulou foundation to investigate the role of the kinase CDKL5 in the CDKL5 syndrome, a rare X-linked infantile condition, causing severe neurodevelopmental abnormalities and early seizures.
