I provide Telehealth advice to Remote Area Nurses in Indigenous communities of Top End Australia. This ranges from ongoing advice for chronic conditions, to initial management of medical emergencies and critically unwell patients. It involves logistical tasking of Careflight or other acute retrieval services, as well as low acuity retrieval via charter or commercial platforms. This role is extremely busy, managing multiple calls simultaneously and liaising with remote nurses, St John’s ambulance, Careflight Logistics and retrieval consultant, and hospital specialists.
