Ana Amaral

I’m a post-doctoral researcher, currently working at the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville, in Spain. Regarding my background, I completed my degree and MSc in Pharmacy in the University of Coimbra in Portugal. In 2008, I was awarded a fellowship for a short-term stay at Dr. de Alava’s group at the Cancer Research Center in Salamanca. Here, a few years later I obtained a PhD fellowship. After I earned my PhD in molecular biology, I had opportunity to join Dr. de Álava in his new group in Seville, where I have been working as a post-doctoral fellow since 2014, in close touch with the clinical setting of Ewing Sarcoma. I also had the opportunity to enroll in an MSc in Clinical Trials from the University of Seville, which I’ve successfully completed. I have dedicated the last 8 years to Ewing Sarcoma and other rare tumors research. Indeed, during my PhD I focused specifically in the molecular biology of Ewing Sarcoma, namely on the study of mesenchymal stem cells and their role as the putative ES cell of origin, as well as the development of innovative therapies in pre-clinical models. Currently I’m involved in several projects directed towards the generation of precision medicine in the field of oncology. I believe that I could be a good addition for your company especially given the strong background on translational oncology. Furthermore, I’m well prepared, dedicated, dynamic and passionate when it comes to developing new research strategies
