Radiation therapy, surgery with chemotherapy, immunotherapy or hormone therapy are some of the types of cancer treatments that people receive. Not only is the treatment tough, unfortunately, the list of side effects after cancer treatment is very large.
Hopefully, only the people actually needing a treatment for cancer will receive it, and consequently, only they would suffer the side effects.
The Spanish company Biomedica wants to spare low-risk cancer patients the displeasure of experiencing chemotherapy or other aggressive treatments through their diagnostic tools.

On another note, the Spanish company Ekuore is developing a stethoscope to improve idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis detection. The cool fact is that Boehringer Ingelheim is the one in charge of developing the algorithm that will help detect the illness. Besides, they will give away 5000 units of this device to doctors as a market entry strategy.
