I am Dr. Vishal Srivastava, a seasoned professional specializing in life sciences and MedTech. My experience spans various facets of the field, including research, business development, technology commercialisation, and stakeholder engagement. Having worked internationally in New Zealand, Japan, and South Korea, I have cultivated a diverse network and gained expertise across multiple domains within biomedical sciences.

Transitioning from a successful research career, I’ve taken on roles involving business development, technology commercialisation, and R&D investment management. In these capacities, I’ve evaluated numerous innovative concepts, led contract negotiations, administered technology and patent portfolios, conducted IP due diligence, and contributed to the development of investment portfolios and commercial partnership agreements. Notably, I’ve provided expertise in advising and reviewing applications for federal funding programs and grants, including prestigious initiatives like MRFF’s BioMedTech Horizons (BMTH), Biomedical Translation Bridge (BTB), Clinical Translation and Commercialisation (CTCM), Targeted Translation Research Accelerator (TTRA), and REDI-fellowship programs.

My academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Biotechnology & Bioprocess Engineering from Massey University in New Zealand and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Victoria University of Wellington. Recently, I completed the Bridge Program 2023, a pharmaceutical commercialisation training program offered by Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane, Australia. This program provided comprehensive training in scientific, legal, financial, clinical, regulatory, and reimbursement disciplines essential for research translation and the commercialisation of medicines.
