Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Granada and PhD in Biomedical Biomedical Investigation from the Complutense University of Madrid (cum laude, International Mention, Extraordinary Award). My predoctoral period was carried out in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the School of Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid in the “Vascular Pharmacology and Physiopathology” group led by Dr. Francisco Pérez Vizcaíno and Dr. Ángel Cogolludo Torralba. This has been possible thanks to obtaining several contracts and grants in competitive calls, among which I would like to highlight for its duration and competitiveness a Fellowship for University Teacher Training (FPU16/05379) from the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.During this period, I spent 3 months at Dr. Kübler’s Lung Vascular Research group at the Institute of Physiology of the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin thanks to two grants: a Mobility Grant for short stays for beneficiaries of the University Teacher Training Programme (FPU) – Call 2020 and another one from the Erasmus+ Traineeship Programme. In this stay, I analysed the production and origin of extracellular vesicles in patients with COVID-19. My research has been funded by several national and regional projects and a contract (art. 83) with the company Aptatargets S.L. and has resulted in the publication of a total of 15 articles and attendance at several international, national and regional congresses .

At the postdoctoral level, I am currently enjoying a Margarita Salas contract funded by the Spanish Ministry of Universities with European Union – NextGenerationEU funds. In addition, I am Guest Editor of the Special Issue “New Insight into Extracellular Vesicles in Proliferative Diseases” in International Journal of Molecular Sciences (JIF 2022: 5.6; Q1 Biochemistry & Molecular Biology).
