I am professor in Computer Science at the UPC, Barcelona. I have worked on Machine Learning and Data Analytics for almost 20 years, both in research and in knowledge transfer. I have teamed with Julianna Ribera, M.D. in the last 3 years in several projects for bringing these techniques to the management of healthcare systems. The spinoff we created in August 2017 is based on our combined experiences, the technology/AI part and the inside knowledge of how healthcare works – and how it should be working in the 21st century.
