Cristina Puchades

PhD in Biophysics with 10+ years biomedical research experience at Janssen (J&J), Scripps Research and the University of California San Francisco (UCSF). I have worked on diverse drug discovery and development projects in the context of cancer, infectious diseases, and neurodegenerative conditions.
I am currently a Tech Transfer Analyst at UCSF Innovation Ventures, where I evaluate novel inventions from the university. I interview inventors and KOLs, conduct due diligence, and prepare market assessment reports. Once we identify a good opportunity, I am involved in discussions with the IP attorneys, and help prepare pitch decks for licensing opportunities. I am also a part-time strategy consultant at the Bay Area Biotech Connection, the consulting club from UCSF, Berkeley and Stanford. I am working in an interdisciplinary team alongside MDs and MBAs to assess the competitive landscape and commercial potential of an artificial intelligence start-up for drug development, and help develop go-to-market strategies
