I am Biochemist (PhD) and posgraduate in R&D Management. After 8 years as a researcher, in 2014 I started my career as a tech transfer officer (now in process of RTTP accreditation), been responsible for the Innovation Unit of INCLIVA Biomedical Research Institute since then.
INCLIVA is a non-profit research organization which manages the biomedical research carried out in the Valencia University Clinic Hospital and its health department, as well as certain groups of scientific excellence of the medicine and biology colleges of the University of Valencia and the Igenomix Research Foundation.
During this period, I have been involved in several duties which combine strategic work with those inherent in a technology transfer officer, including the following:
 Establishment of the basis for a successful onset of innovation in INCLIVA by designing the first 5-years institutional strategic plan in this field.
 Coordination of the different stakeholders involved in this process. Both inside the institution, from the executive staff and researchers to the clinical and administrative departments and outside, as a liaison with industrial partners and other organizations for collaborative projects and research contracts (excluding clinical trials).
 Training scientific and clinical staff in innovation and exploitation of the results.
 IP Scouting: Detection of knowledge-based assets inside the organization. This includes the evaluation of the potential impact of research projects and the development of a strategy to focus the research from the beginning towards the exploitation of the further results.
 Preliminary patentability and market reports.
 Patent portfolio management.
 License agreements
 Management of innovative and proof of concept projects.
Additionally, in october 2018, I joined other partners to create a start-up in the field of agrobiotechnology, Biotech Tricopharming Research S.L https://www.tricopharming.com/. My role there is related with tech transfer and building of strategic alliances.
