I am a PhD with remarkable background in molecular biology and genetics with additional insight in cancer research. The main objective throughout my scientific career has been to understand the origin of different human diseases caused by defects in DNA repair, such as many types of cancer and the discovery of new drugs for their treatment. Moreover, I have been investigating new tools of gene and cell therapy for retinal inherited diseases.
Afterwards, I moved a step forward from basic research to clinical innovation, first as a product developer at Moirai Biodesign establishing a novel approach for RNA-based diagnostics device and, currently, as innovation manager at Hospital Taulí.
