Jose Francisco Islas Cisneros

Experienced professional holding over 12 years of research experience in several areas ranging from chemistry, medical sciences and biotechnology. With extensive work on tissue regeneration focusing on aspects of physiology, molecular and cell biology, genetics, and maturation. In addition, I’ve worked alongside bioengineers in development of organo-mimetic systems (patch systems and decellularized models). Other avenues I’ve venture have been in biotechnology using bioreactors to grow microogranisms, as well as the extraction and use of phytochemicals for their antioxidant properties in degenerative diseases.
With relation to industrial partners, I’ve successfully participated in projects on optimizing conditions and using reactors for enhancing differentiation, as well as, applying techniques on different cell types e.g., ADSC, IPS, HDF, cardiomyocytes, diverse fibroblasts, amongst others. Additional experience in preparing realistic timetables for deliverables, budgeting during all the phases of a project. Further familiar with IP development, patent writing, as well as, product innovation and human capital formation. From a clinical perspective, serving on various biosafety and animal safety committees.
