Isabel Huber Ruano

I am a senior scientist with more than 15 years of experience in research, from basic to translational medicine. I have a strong background in onclology (as documented by my 5-year postdoctoral experience at Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology) and also a relevant experience in drug discovery and early preclinical development thaks to the Scientific Manager position I hold at Mosaic Biomedicals, where I contributed to the success of the preclinical program that led the lead candidate (MSC-1) to the clinic (https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20180531006402/en/Northern-Biologics%E2%80%99-MSC-1-Enters-Clinic).
Last year I went back to the public sector and joined an academic research group with the intention of guiding the drug discovery process and the preclinical development with the aim of valorising thir assets and, hopefully, creating a start-up. During 2018-2019 I have also got an MBA in Life Sciences that has complemented my skills and quite recently I have been granted with a Caixa Impulse Grant that we are using to generate proof of concept data and valorize our current asset.
