Build an oncology drug development company from scratch, from very early discovery to completion of preclinical phase (including regulatory data). Developed processes for pharmaceutical intermediates in multi-kilogram scale and supported their transfer into cGMP pilot plants. Supervised a group of 12 scientists and many external consultants, teamed up with business development managers to capture external funding, successfully solicited grant awards (collectively $6M) to fund innovative R&D initiatives.
