Fernando Cid Samper

Over 6 years, I worked as a data scientist conducting several academic projects at different institutions in Spain, UK and Japan. My expertise spans from machine learning modelling and ETL development to scientific communication and leadership projects conducted within interdisciplinary teams (physicists, computer scientists, biologists, medical doctors).

My experience implementing data science and data engineering methodologies for solving biological problems has led to a series of scientific publications in high impact journals. Precisely, I have implemented network and clustering analysis, built neuronal networks and performed exploratory data analyses over different protein-protein and protein-RNA databases. I have also analyzed clinical data including human brain images and post-mortem brain samples. These experiences led me to develop an applied and creative abstract thinking with the ability to work in collaborative multidisciplinary teams.
