I am Marc Vila and I have 10 years in the field of Healthcare Technologies.

I did my master thesis at KTH (Stockholm, Sweden) in TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy) imaging, trying to solve the Hollow Cone problem using compressed sensing in this type of image acquisition. After that I have worked with multiple imaging techniques (CBCT, CT, US and in MRI but not much). My main is imaging for proton therapy rooms, basically using CBCT or regular CT. I also have experience in ultrasound, specially in microbubble enhanced US. During these years I have learnt about radition therapy (software and hardware), physics behind it, Montecarlo simulations, segmentation algorithms, registration algorithms, 3D reconstruction (FDK, iterative FDK, SART, etc.), surgical tools, DICOM protocol, HL7, FDA procedures, ISOs, etc.

My background is quite complete and diverse in the medical field, being in big companies and small start-ups, in many diferent locations (Lyon, Brussels, Philadelphia, New York, Boston and Barcelona).
