I work as an Assistant professor in Translational Cardiology at Karolinska Institute. For more than 10 years I have developed research projects in the fields of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, inflammation and endocrinology in three research centres: Karolinska Institute (Stockholm, Sweden), Harvard Medical School (Boston, US) and INCLIVA (Valencia, Spain). My knowledge about entrepreneurship, innovation and financial needs of startups comes from several courses I took in INSEAD and Harvard Business School. Recently, I wrote a report for the Swedish Agency for Growth Policy Analysis (dependent of the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation) in which I describe the feasibility of applying novel financial engineering techniques as an option to boost the Swedish Life Science sector.
