Ana Calvo

I work as a Senior Innovation Consultant at the company ZAZ Ventures. I coordinate, supervise and write innovation projects for several European funding programs, such as EIC Accelerator, Transition and Pathfinder, Eurostars, among others. I also participate in the scoping and validation of new start-up/spin-off/SMEs with innovative solutions in the healthcare landscape, mostly related to new therapeutics (e.g, new drugs, cell and gene therapies) and medical devices development. I have been working as a Innovation Consultant for 5 years. Before that, I worked in academia, as a PhD fellow in molecular biology and biochemistry at the University of Bergen (Norway) and as a postdoc fellow in neurobiology and behavior at the Yale Medical School (USA). I am familiar and comfortable working with both academic and industry management teams. My passion is to help innovator to bring their ideas to market and make an impact in patients’ lives.
