Alicia Daeden

I am a biophysicist with more than 10 years of experience in multidisciplinary fields. I am currently a senior scientific collaborator at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Geneva. I have a PhD in Biophysics from the University of Geneva, a Engineering diploma in Biotechnology from a prestigious French Engineer School and a Master’s degree in Health and Drug Design from the University of Strasbourg. Over the past ten years, I then acquired a wide and strong multi-disciplinary scientific expertise by developing and implementing science-based research projects. I also worked extensively with internal and external stakeholders from various fields (doctors, mathematicians, physicists, chemists..). I am then used to understand complex multi-disciplinary projects and technologies or explaining it to external partners (both to specialists or non-specialists). My main core of expertise is in Cell Biology, Biophysics, Mechanobiology, Biotechnology, Cancer and Health Research, Genetics and Molecular Biology, Imaging and Quantitative Biology as well as in Developmental Biology.
I am regularly asked to be a scientific reviewer to review Life Sciences publications in peer-to-peer international journals. I have then a lot of practice in evaluating science-based research and project development. I am passionate about science and innovation and keep up to date to the latest developments and trends in Life Sciences, such as new generation of genetic tools, innovative medical devices and novel medical procedures or technologies.
I would be happy to reinvest my skills and scientific expertise to ensure the launch and development of projects from the BioExpertNetwork.
