I have a background in biomedical science and molecular medicine to postgraduate level (MSc) and I have completed a PgDip in management focusing on business and management in the life science industries.

I am also a part of several non-profit organisations that aim to facilitate the building of life science startups and communities by driving forward innovation through workshops, networking events, accelerators and pitching competitions. This has taught me a significant amount regarding the journey of early-stage biotech companies and the challenges in regard to areas such as funding, IP, buildings teams, understanding the market landscape and achieving proof-of-concept. I have been a part of building a life science startup community, the Science Entrepreneur Club (SEC), from the ground up and brought together multiple startups and resource providers in the space through unique networking events that have enabled the acceleration in innovation and growth of the life sciences community in London, Oxford and Cambridge. In addition, I have recently embarked on the Future VC program which has broadened my network in the VC community and provided me with more in-depth knowledge as to the workings of venture capital.

In my current full-time role, I am a market analyst working to provide in-depth business intelligence and forecasting to the pharmaceutical industry. I have developed expertise in the late-stage pharmaceutical market, particular in the cardio-metabolic and rare disease spaces, with an array of knowledge as to companies and products in the biologics, biosimilars, molecular therapeutics and gene therapy areas relating to these diseases. I provide in-depth market outlook reports and strategic insights as to how companies can launch and compete in major markets globally through a variety of syndicated and consulting projects, working with top tier pharmaceutical and leading biotechnology companies. I regularly provide updates to the latest market trends in the cardio-metabolic and rare disease spaces and provide conference coverage throughout the year on cardiovascular and diabetes-related areas.

In addition, I have previously worked with several startups in a strategy and operations roles learning the inner workings and challenges of building an early-stage company and worked on areas such as establishing sales pipelines, building product and sourcing funding.
