Agata Rita Carpentieri

I am an Argentinian researcher. In my lab, we are interested to elucidate the effects anti inflammatory and anti tumoral of melatonin using in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
I am working as an Independent Researcher of CONICET, at INICSA-UNC (Institute of Research in Health Sciences), Faculty of Medical Sciences, National University of Córdoba (UNC), Argentina (https://www.conicet.gov.ar/new_scp/detalle.php?id=20884&keywords=agata%2Bcarpentieri&datos_academicos=yes)
Also, I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Biological Chemistry, Faculty of Odontology, UNC, and Director of the Research Laboratory on the Effects of Melatonin, where fellows and doctoral students are formed.
I am a biochemist and pharmacist. I carried out my studies at the Faculty of Chemical Sciences at the National University of Cordoba. I completed my PhD in Chemical Sciences in the field of Chronobiology, studying the maternal synchronization of circadian rhythms and neural mechanisms involved in the synchronization effects of melatonin. I have performed postdoctoral research: one of them in the Chronobiology Laboratory of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Barcelona, Spain, by a postdoctoral fellowship. The other, completed was at CIQUIBIC, Faculty of Chemical Sciences at UNC.
I have numerous publications in scientific journals in my research area (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Agata-Carpentieri). Implemented and carried out collaborations with laboratories of the University of Pittsburgh, EEUU; the University of Barcelona and the University of Granada, Spain. I have also participated as an editor and guest reviewer in several scientific journals and project evaluation committees, researchers and professors.
