Arnaud Boulling

I have been a researcher in the field of molecular biology and genetics since 2005. I obtained my PhD in 2009 and initially worked in human genetics at the French National Institute of Health & Medical Research (INSERM) and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL – IRO). In 2019, I was hired for a permanent position at the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment (INRAE). My current research focuses on the functional analysis of genetic variation and the study of the regulation of gene expression in cattle, but I am still interested in human genetics.

Here are my assets to join the Bioexpert network:
– I have strong basic skills in genomics (gene expression, functional analysis of genetic variations), cellular biology, animal genetics, human genetics (physiology and pathophysiology, especially for the exocrine pancreas).
– I have strong technical skills in molecular & cellular biology (all basic methods, some highly advanced methods such as Massively Parallel Reporter Assay)
– I have developed new methods in molecular & cellular biology (PMID: 27268947, PMID: 26719302) and understand the challenges of proof of concept.
– I have some experience in the patent application process (I am the inventor of patent application WO2018215515A1)
– I have worked for applied research institutions and understand the issues involved in putting research to economic use.
