Recommended actions

From my perspective, there are no major hurdles to launching the campaign.

What's this?
Your ability to communicate well with potential investors, including an analysis of your website, social media channels, professional LinkedIn accounts, partnerships and public event attendance.

“Your channels to communicate with investors are a little limited at present. However, this can easily be improved.”

Katie - Head of Marketing

Recommended actions

  • Plan and implement a social media content strategy for the campaign

Social Media: The suitable channels to communicate your campaign are mildly active at present and would benefit from some additional, planned activity.

    • Plan and share a schedule of high quality industry content and campaign activity, utilising popular platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.
    • Estimated agency cost: £2000-3000
  • Target specific investor groups with paid digital advertising

Target market: your market of core investors is particularly niche and you may struggle to contact larger groups without paid assistance.

    • Identify and target industry specific core investors using paid digital advertising such as LinkedIn ads.
    • Identify retail investors who are philanthropically engaged with Facebook advertising, based on interests.
    • Estimated market cost: £500-2000

What's this?
The professionalism you portray of the company, including: logo and strapline, corporate branding and consistency, online presence, deck visual quality and deck investment clarity.

“The overall visual branding and company image are in good shape to start a funding round. However a few media pushes would help grow further awareness.

Katie - Head of Marketing

Recommended actions

  • Seek professional assistance with press and media

Public presence: although you are already reasonably well represented online, with searchable media coverage, we believe companies can hugely benefit from a campaign specific press release.

    • We strongly suggest seeking professional assistance for this campaign, or writing and distributing your own copy, to run press releases and boost your profile.
    • Estimated agency cost: £2000-5000
  • Produce a short, sharable promotional video

Corporate video: Although it is not essential, using a video to promote your campaign, particularly soon social media and to support paid advertising, can be hugely advantageous.

    • Create a short 30-45 second video which can be used to promote your company and funding round.
    • Estimated agency cost: £1000-5000
  • Build investor relationships with appropriate association leaders

Partnerships and affiliations: your campaign would benefit from introductions to science-savvy industry professionals. Not only are the leaders of these organisations potential core investors, they can in turn introduce your company and funding round to larger networks of retail investors.

    • you should build relationships with the leaders of appropriate associations.
    • Communicating with wider groups of philanthropically engaged crowd investors, support groups and associations such as could greatly increase your chances of gaining crowd investment.
    • Estimated agency cost £1000-2000

What's this?
The current presentation of your financial information, including: pre-money valuation, balance sheet, forecast, expected ROI, exit and ROI justification.

“The valuation rationale seems reasonable but a deeper review is required to understand the Management’s assumptions. Assuming the financial forecasts are achieved, investors may receive a strong return.”

Cameron - Director of Strategy & Finance

Recommended actions

From my perspective, there are no major hurdles to launching the campaign.

What's this?
The validity of the scientific research and development presented by the company, including consideration of the team, market, competitors, patent, trials/results and projections.

“Most people think that the project is great and understand its potential. One or two areas might need a little more clarity to attract investment; you can find more detail on this in the BioExpert Network report.”

This is

our offer

We are pleased to propose you to go forward with listing in Capital Cell, and we’re confident in helping you secure your fundraising as quickly as possible.

The analysis of the COMPANY project has shown that it is universally perceived as a very interesting project both from a scientific and from a social impact point of view.

Most experts agree that the characteristic of your technology is a solid improvement over any existing solution and that the market will be eager to adopt this. In general, despite the lack of an experienced sales team, most experts agree that there is sufficient technical expertise to carry out the project successfully.

We believe the company will be perceived as an excellent investment opportunity, and that we’re potentially looking at a quick and successful campaign.

Based on that, the recommended round strategy would be:

  • Listing COMPANY as a pre-campaign in Capital Cell Spain during 15 days to raise awareness and investor interest
  • Secure lead investment from existing shareholders
  • Launch Investment campaign for 20 days maximum

Estimated time for completion:

  • 5-10 days for preparation
  • 15 days pre-campaign
  • 20 days campaign (or until 100% complete, whichever is faster)
  • 10-15 days for finalising the paperwork

The actual time will depend very much on the actual response of investors, but these estimates are based on our experience with previous campaigns.

Based on the information you have provided, we would suggest the following bespoke campaign for COMPANY:

  • Total round size:  175K
    • Minimum ticket: £500
    • Maximum overfunding: 218K
    • Commitment from current shareholders: none
    • Suggested minimum ticket: 1000 pounds
  • Structure: suggest you organize a Vehicle company to hold all investors, but a private contract syndication would also be adequate.
  • Investor’s rights: harmonized to your existing shareholder’s structure.

Campaign fee: 5% of funds raised + 2% of the round (which is reinvested in the company)

Listing fee: £750

This will only be payable if your campaign is successful.
