After finishing a BSc in Biotechnology (2009) and a Masters degree in Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological Industry (2010), I started a PhD in Medicine (2011), which I finished two years ago.
During that time, I worked in close collaboration with clinicians of the gastroenterology unit in Vall d’Hebron hospital and was mostly involved in the preclinical studies of the group: the development of animal models and their characterization through in vivo analysis of cardiovascular alterations, and the study of signaling pathways in tissue samples. Additionally, I also participated in the design, planning and data analysis, as well as in report and manuscript writing.

Currently, I work for MDPI, an Open Access publisher, as a Managing Editor for scientific journals. Here I have had the opportunity to develop my communication and management skills. My role consists on developing and promoting the journals I work for, establishing relationships with academics in the field while taking care of the journals budget. I am also in the conferences team, organizing scientific meetings to spread the last breakthroughs in the field.
