I studied pharmacy at the Universitat of Valencia, where I did my PhD at the department of pharmacology and at the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares (CNIC) in Madrid (spain) in the lab of Dr. Juan Manuel Serrador. During my PhD I studied the role of Nitric Oxide in lymphocyte T activation after TCR engagement by antigen presentation cells. Therefore,, I have a strong background in pharmacy as well as in molecular biology and immunology). Since receiving my PhD, I worked as a post-doctoral fellow in the Laboratory of Dr. Henrique Veiga-Fernandes at the Instituto de Medicina Molecular (Lisbon, Portugal). I had the opportunity to work on a challenging project related to Innate lymphoid cell (ILC) immune responses in the gut.  Specifically, I was interested in learning how ILCs perceive, integrate, and respond to environmental cues (such as microbiota) to exert their function on a novel multicellular unit orchestrated by neurotrophic factors. At present I am working as a postdoctoral researcher at the dept. of oncology in the lab of Eduard Batlle (Colorectal cancer Lab). Working in the project of Tumor microenvironment in colorectal cancer. The experience I have gained through research allowed me to develop not only technical skills, but also to gain competencies in leadership, in mentoring skills, in planning and organizing time and protocols, problem solving and analysis, in team work, multitasking, communication skills, maintaining confidentiality, judgment dealing and professionalism. Furthermore improve part of that skills and gain skills in the Administrative part I decide to enter a Master’s program in International Project Management in EAE business School. This master’s course is significantly complementing my experience as a research scientist with administrative-management skills.
