Paolo Binetti

I work on deal flow for VitaDAO, a non-profit organisation funding cutting edge translational research and early-stage startups in the longevity biotech space. I am also a venture fellow for Healthspan Capital, a venture capital focused on early-stage startup in the longevity biotech space, an On Deck Longevity Biotech fellow, and an investor. On top of that, I support labs researching biology of aging with bioinformatics and machine learning.

Previously I managed a portfolio of tens of space technology development projects, and prior to that I held positions in business development, project management, and system engineering. Over the years I have worked closely with startups, including one of which went public multiplying its valuation manifold.

I hold a Bioinformatics Specialization from the University of California San Diego (via Coursera), a PhD in Controls, Robotics, and Bioengineering from the University of Pisa, as well as a MS in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.

My passion is accelerating research and development of interventions with the potential to increase health-span. Biotech funding is a crucial unsolved problem and the crowd-equity avenue is a great untapped opportunity: this is why I am happy to support Capital Cell via the BioExpert network.
