I am PhD in Biology and PDD by IESE with over 20 years of experience in national and international Pharmaceutical and Biotech companies (Almirall and Galápagos-Belgium). Along this way, I have acquired a sound understanding of R&D and Business Development needs and challenges in industry, having a wide knowledge of all disciplines related to Drug Discovery & Development, Translational Sciences and Business Development.
I am an experienced Head with proven expertise in leading high-performance teams that have discovered and licensed several novel molecules in the areas of Respiratory (asthma, COPD, IPF, cough, allergic rhinitis, CF,…), Dermatology (atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, icthyosis, alopecia, …) and Autoimmune diseases (RA, IBD, PsA, …).
Leader of multi-disciplinary project teams with a wide experience of starting-up a program from target selection to candidate nomination and progression to development stage. Accountable to create a portfolio of Target Product Profiles including competitor landscape, timelines & resources required, and SWOT analysis to drive R&D and Marketing strategy in collaboration with Marketing and Market Access departments.
Currently, as an independent consultant, I have interest in doing a change in my professional career with a desire to apply my industrial knowledge and experience to foster the translation of new discoveries and technologies generated in Research Centers into novel medicines, biomarkers or devices that would bring a benefit to the society.
