MARTA GALAN

I am an Associate Research Scientist at Columbia University with more than 14 years of experience. First author of 6 and co-author of 8 peer-reviewed publications (474 citations, 9 h-index). My current research interest is focused on understanding the crosstalk between osteoblasts and leukemia blasts and involve the development of a comprehensive understanding of the key signaling pathways and molecular signals that contribute to leukemia engraftment and progression. My main aim is to provide the rationale for target the crosstalk between osteoblasts and leukemic cells as a means to create a hostile endosteal niche in a new approach to treat hematological malignancies.
