Laura Lizama

I studies Biomedicla Engineering and I joined dHEALTH Barcelona in 2020, a program in innovation and entrepeneurship in healthcare. There, I experienced the full cycle of innovation following Biodesign Methodology, assessing different clinical needs, ideating a technological solution and developing the business model.
During almost 3 years (2021-2023) I worked as Innovation and tech transfer project manager in the innovation unit in Parc Tauli Hospital (Sabadell, Barcelona). There I managed healthcare projects from ideation to tech transfer activities: clinical need description, analysis of need-solution fit, stablishing collaborations with private ventures for co-development, IP protection, clinical studies and trials, CE marking and spin-offs creation. I also supported and created an innovation culture across the hospital and managing projects of Innovation Public Procurement, co-founded by EU.

after dHEALTH Barcelona 2020, Sofia Ferreira and I coounded heecap, a company that aims to prevent patients in intensive care units from developing respiratory muscles atrophy. Right now I am the CEO of the company, implmeenting the strategy.
