Joan Grasas

Joan is a healthtech entrepreneur and expert patient, and his goal is to improve urinary tract health and the quality of life of patients with urinary incontinence, infections or lower tract symptoms (LUTS).

He is an active member of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem with 15+ years of experience, including 5+ years in the health industry, with background in business development, management, and product development.

By training, he is an engineer with a master in telecommunications, graduate in market research, and MBA within the internationalization programme of the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade ICEX.

He has co-founded three startups, including RheoDx, and has engaged with several entrepreneurship programmes like the EIT Health Bioentrepreneurs Bootcamp and the Wild Card. Joan also mentors early-stage projects and is business advisor in the urology field. As innovation and tech transfer manager, he has collaborated with research institutes and SMEs of the biomedical industry.

Currently, Joan is the Entrepreneurship Lead in Spain of EIT Health, also volunteering as Board Member and Spanish Coordinator of the EIT Health Alumni Community.
