I am a researcher in de biomédicas área since more than 50 years. Witherspoon a long anda outstanding career supported by over 300 scientific papers, many public competitive research projects and a large number of collaborations with pharmaceutical industry. Founder as well of two biotechs (Advanced and Applicacell) discontinued in the precedent economic crisis. The first one was sold in part.
During 15 years I was director of research of th University Hospital La Fe, promotor of the creation of an Institute for Medical Research within the hospital. I was director as well, and creator of a pioneer program of private-public collaboration of biotechs and the Institute called “Bio polo La Fe” That aimed to accommodate companies within the Institute and bring together in close contact researchers with emprenurs. This period allowed me to get formation and skills in order to facilitate close collaborations with all stakeholders in the process of creating and developing biotechs. I have served as evaluator for this yype of initiatives por public and private bodies
