I currently work as a postdoc at the Laboratory of Coronaviruses at the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology, from National Center for Biotechnology (CNB-CSIC, Spain). We do research in Virology, Molecular Biology and Immunology. Concretely, we are looking for the molecular mechanisms of human highly pathogenic coronaviruses (CoVs) implicated in virulence. Using a reverse-genetic system, we can delete or modify these determinants of CoV pathology, generating stable and safe live-attenuated vaccines.
