Elena Cubero

I have over 20 years of experience in the field of computational chemistry and drug discovery in public institutions, pharma and biotech companies. I have developed my career at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona-PCB, Spain), Esteve (Barcelona, Spain) and Minoryx, (Barcelona, Spain) as head of computer-aided drug design department (CADD) and as a project leader of preclinical-stage programs. I have co-authored more than 35 publications, including journals, books, and reviews and patents. I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Universitat de Barcelona.
I have collborate with several international groups, including the Nobel laureate Prof. Arieh Warshel at University of Southern California (USC). I am referee of international scientific journals and of Spanish Project Evaluation Agencies, like Agencia Nacional de Evaluación y Prospectiva (ANEP), Fondo de Investigación Sanitaria (FIS), and Agència de Gestió d’Ajuts Universitaris i de Recerca (AGAUR).
Mentorship experience: Supervision over undergraduate and graduate students on a variety of projects and laboratory techniques.
