Throughout the last 7 years I’ve been working in positions related to entrepreneurship, giving support to those entrepreneurs who want to start a business and mentoring them in their path from idea to market. I’ve also been involved in small and medium enterprises M&A operations.

My experience in the last three years is especially relevant in terms of this application, taking into account that I’m working in the technology transfer unit of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) in Spain.

In this role, I’m in charge of analysing annually more than 50 entrepreneurship projects in idea stage and select those with more potential to offer strategic advice to lead them from their idea stage to their acceleration stage, through project maturation. As mentioned, throughout this path, I offer strategic support to UOC’s startups and spin-offs and and prepare them in terms of investment readiness and funding opportunities, taking into account public (ENISA, CDTI, ICF, etc.) and private sources (FFF, business angels, seed capital, etc.).

One of these sources is precisely Invergy, the UOC’s investment vehicle in startups and spin-offs of their community. In this context, I analyse investment opportunities from our pool of mentored startups and spin-offs to propose them to be invested by Invergy. With the invested companies, I also track their perfomance in terms of business and finance KPI’s and offer strategic support.
It’s important to remark that the university considers eHealth an strategic field which is reflected in our entrepreneurship’s mentoring strategy, offering support to startups and apinoffs in this field and having invested in some of them, mainly in subcategories as mental health, wereables or digital health.
