Biotechnological Engineer, Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry with a broad experience in Agro-Food and Biotechnological Industry as Researcher and Project Manager. Proactive and solving problems, with strong analytical and critical thinking, to design, develop and implement successful research strategies.
I have a strong expertise in microbiology and biosensoring, with main relevance at the level of
research and development of biosensors and platforms for the rapid detection of pathogens
(Salmonella spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Cronobacter sakasakii, etc.) destined to the veterinary
sector and also as regards the human food sector. In the last years the main focus becomes
the research in the field of human health for fast and reliable diagnostics, with the integration
and development of new and fast electrochemical immunoassays in order to replace the
traditional expensive and time-consuming ELISA. At the moment, involved in two
projects for human food allergens detection, and with a project for the development of POC rapid diagnostic device, based in biosensors for fast Malaria detection.
