I was appointed independent expert for the European Commission in the fields of health, biotech, and pharma in March 2015 for analyzing and evaluating proposals submitted to the H2020 programs prior to its financing.

Since that moment I have evaluated more than 320 proposals submitted to several EU programs and agencies, including SME Instrument (Phase I and Phase II), EIC Accelerator, Fast Track to Innovation, COST Actions and Eureka Innowwide.

Last year, in January 2021, the European Innovation Council (EIC) of the European Commission renewed their trust in my capacity for evaluating proposals on its behalf and appointed me as an independent expert.

In addition to those assignments, I have also worked as an independent expert selected by the EU program ALINVEST to support the internationalization of the Cuban pharma and biotech industry to the EU markets.
