I’m a Senior Researcher with about 20 years of experience working in laboratories of scientific research and R&D activities. I’m author of 30 scientific publications including a book and a chapter of book (22 of them indexed by Scopus database https://www.scopus.com/authid/detail.uri?authorId=8661193500). I have participated in around 19 competitive research projects (national and international) and 20 international events. In agreement with this trajectory, I hold a broad field of expertise:

1. (currently – 05.2010  9 years) Development of bioanalysis using antibodies and enzymes as target recognition elements for in-vitro diagnostic of clinical biomarkers. Development of bioanalysis such as ELISA, MSD, lateral flow immunochromatography assays and electrochemical biosensors.
Synthesis of inorganic nanoparticles, preparation of its derived nanobioconjugates for bioanalysis application. Characterization of these nanobioconjugates by electronic microscopy (SEM, TEM), dynamic light scattering and UV-Vis.
2. (01.2010 – 03.2005  5 years) Synthesis of organic molecules and their characterization by mass spectrometry, FTIR, 1H/13C-NMR and single XRD.
3. (02.2005 – 09.1999  5 years) Preparation and validation of analytical methods by HPLC/HPLC-mass and spectrophotometry UV-Vis to detect organic molecules.

Fellowships and awards: Sara Borrell Post-Doc fellowship (2016) conferred by the Spanish Carlos III Health Institute, Extraordinary Prize by PhD thesis (2013), Generalitat of Catalunya PhD student fellowship (2010), and Scientific Category of Aggregate Researcher (investigador agregado) conferred by the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education (2006).
Throughout my career, I have supervised undergraduate and post-graduated university students (12 total) and carried out teaching activities at the University Autonomous of Barcelona, where I have been member of examining board of PhD thesis presentation in two occasions.

Current position: Associate Professor at Chemistry Department in t he University Autonomous of Barcelona.
